Transport CS Kamau Arraigned over Abuse of Office Charges

Suspended Transport Cabinet Secretary Eng Michael Kamau has pleaded not guilty to abuse of office charges against him.

CS Kamau appeared before the Ethics and Anti-Corruption court Thursday to take a plea after the High Court Wednesday ordered his that he does so.

Upon arrival at the court Thursday morning, the embattled CS was taken to the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives for processing.

The prosecution had informed Senior Principal Magistrate Laurence Mugambi that Kamau had not been processed by EACC prompting the magistrate to make an order for Kamau to be taken to EACC for the same.

CS Kamau has been released on Sh3 million bond or Sh1 million cash bail.
